From our base in both Worcestershire and London, we can supply our aluminium doors to our customers throughout the UK. Please be aware that some restrictions may apply, however if you want to ensure that we can deliver our products to your home or place of work, please feel free to contact us.
Where are your aluminium windows and doors manufactured?
To ensure that our customers receive the best quality, we only supply products that have been manufactured in Britain.
Do Pure Aluminium survey & install their aluminium sliding doors?
We only supply our aluminium windows and doors directly to the homeowner but work with a number of installation partners across the UK who will survey and install your products at a competitive price.
How will my aluminium sliding doors be delivered?
Doors will always be delivered fully assembled for ease of installation for you! However, in some instances your doors might not always fit through your house or side passageway etc..
Don’t worry, we offer a disassembly service for a small fee and can deliver your doors in kit form. Please contact our customer service team if you are unsure.
Are aluminium sliding doors secure?
Yes, all our aluminium doors boast high security, multi-point locking on the master door and steel shootbolt locking rods within the intermediate panels.
All the gearing is concealed within the doors themselves, and we use high-security Ultion 3-star diamond-rated BSI security cylinders as standard for the utmost protection against lock attack.
If security is a concern, then we recommend glazing the door with laminated glass, as this is the police-preferred specification for preventing crime.
Our doors are so secure we offer a £2000 guarantee against break-in to our locking cylinders and a 24-hour locksmith service with every door.
Why is made in Britain so important?
At Pure Aluminium we only supply products fabricated here, we have found that the products designed/engineered around the UK climate and with the UK homeowner requirements in mind stand the test of time.
When products are imported from overseas, they’re typically manufactured under appalling conditions and can be of a subpar quality. To ensure that people are properly compensated for their labour, in factories that are safe and regulated, we only use UK manufacturers. Due to this we can significantly reduce our carbon footprint, whilst offering a high quality product to all of our customers.
Is aluminium harmful to the environment?
Quite the opposite, in fact products that are made from aluminium are considerably far better for the environment compared to traditional timber. Nicknamed the ‘green metal’, aluminium occurs naturally in the earth’s crust and requires a lot less energy to produce overall, and once it’s at the end of its lifeline, it can be recycled out indefinitely, meaning that there is less chance for waste.
Are you FENSA registered?
No, FENSA relates to the person(s) installing the doors or windows.
The Fenestration Self-Assessment scheme (FENSA) has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies in response to the building regulations. A FENSA registered fitter just means that they are self-certifying the compliance of the windows or doors with the building regulations.
What is a U-value?
Thermal transmittance, also known as a U-value, is the rate of transfer of heat through a structure, such as a window or door. When buying a new unit, it’s always best to ensure that.
How do they get delivered?
All windows and doors are generally delivered on a HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle), therefore access will always be a factor for your delivery. If we are unable to deliver directly to your home, we will be able to set another location that is accessible nearby or refund your order, if that is your wish.
Do I need to be at home to accept my delivery?
Yes. You will need to be there to accept the delivery and sign for the products after they have been checked. We recommend a minimum of 2 able people on site to help with the delivery offloading process.
Please note there is only 1 driver to help with offloading and failure to be present will result in a re-delivery charge.
Will I be notified which day will be my delivery?
Yes. Once your order has been placed, we will notify you of your delivery within the next 5 working days. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to select which day we will deliver as deliveries are based on areas and other deliveries in that area.
If the delivery day we have provided does not work for you, please contact us within 48 hours of the delivery confirmation.
Please note this may delay your order.
